Scripting API

Fleet management from a single API call

Run scripts, push updates, and monitor thousands of devices — targeted by type, version, or tag — without SSH, IP addresses, or subnets.

SCRIPTING API
Overview

What it does

Managing a diverse fleet means fighting IP addresses, subnets, routing tables, and VLAN tags before you can run a single command. The Scripting API removes all of that plumbing.

The Remote. It Scripting API lets you oversee and act on a whole fleet of IoT devices through one API — no per-device SSH sessions, no network configuration to maintain.

How it works

Install the Remote. It agent on each device and tag it. From there, the Scripting API targets any slice of your fleet — every Raspberry Pi in warehouse 3, or every gateway running firmware below 2.1 — and runs your script concurrently, streaming results back as each device completes.

Because Remote. It connects outbound-only over an encrypted peer-to-peer tunnel, there are no inbound ports to open, no VPN to manage, and no IP bookkeeping to keep in sync — even for devices on cellular, satellite, or CGNAT networks.
