When used in the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Fair Use Policy, these terms have the following meanings. Any capitalized terms not defined have the meaning given in their respective documents.

“Service” and “Remote.It” means www.remote.it Website and app.remote.it and associated software applications and services contained within.

“remot3.it”, “Company”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to remot3.it, Inc.

“Website” and “Websites” means https://remote.it and https://app.remote.it and other URL’s and subdomains that are owned by remot3.it that relates to the Service such as a location connected to the Internet that maintains one or more pages on the World Wide Web.

“Customer”, “user”, “Users”, “users”, “you”, “your”, and “yours” refer to you, the user of the Service.

“Account”, “Licenses” and “License” refers to a unique email address that is owned by a user and which is granted access to the Service.

“Parties” refers to you and remot3.it.

“Maintenance” means upgrades, patches, bug fixes, and other forms of updates and maintenance.

“Devices”, “Device”, “Endpoint” and “Endpoints” means any computer hardware or cloud service that is connected to the internet, LAN, WAN or is cellular or satellite-enabled and can communicate with the Service over a network or internet.

“Connection” and “Connected” means any Device or Endpoint that is using the Service by proxy or peer-to-peer.

“Personal Information” refers to your email address, IP address, and name.

“Content” and “Submission” refers to any data, scripts, programming, media, text, audio, video, photos, graphics, images, electronic documents, reviews, techniques, and commentary provided through, upload, import or disclosed by use of the Service, by you.

“DPA” refers to Data Processing Addendum.

“Subscription Fee” and “Paid” refers to a recurring payment for the Service.

“Subscription Plan” and “Plan” means a user Account that uses the Service for no charge or pays a Subscription Fee. 

“Enterprise”, “Business”, and “Professional” are a Subscription Plan that requires a Subscription Fee.

“Personal” refers to a Subscription Plan that has no fees for the user.

“Subscription Period” and “Subscription Term” refers to the number of days that are included in your Subscription Fee.  This means up to 31 days for a monthly Subscription Plan or 365 days for an annual Subscription Plan, or as defined by a separate written agreement.

“Free” means a Subscription Plan that has no Subscription Fee.

“Paid” means a Subscription Plan that has a Subscription Fee.

“Sharing”, “Device Sharing” and “Shared” means granting Device access and connections to another user that has a Paid or Free Subscription Plan.

“Personal” means an individual person that is for non-commercial use and is not a corporation, business, school, team, company, LLC,  partnership, government, organization, or nonprofit.

“Business” means commercial use, such as by corporations, LLC’s, organizations, schools, teams, partnerships, charities, non-profits, governments, religious establishments, or any other entity that is not Personal.

“Commercial” means you are earning income and/or revenue while using Remote.It directly or indirectly, either for profit or not for profit.
